Kendrick Construction is owned and operated by Mark Kendrick, licensed general contractor, born and raised in Beaufort County. His extensive local knowledge of build requirements has delivered successful projects time and again making Kendrick Construction an Award-Winning custom builder. Mark has built a team to aid in the company’s success to ensure all of his clients receive ample amounts of attention to their questions and requests along the build process.

Meet Our team

Mark Kendrick - Owner

Born and raised in Beaufort County, native Mark Kendrick brings over 20 years of contractor experience to Kendrick Construction. His local knowledge of the area brings a tremendous value to his clients due to his relationships and experience with various subcontractors, land developers, town officials, and other important personnel.

A framer by trade, Mark has unique ideas to maximize square footage, ensure structural soundness and a vision to foresee and countermeasure issues in the early stages of the construction process. Mark communicates closely with architects and engineers throughout the design and construction phases.

When Mark isn’t on a Kendrick Construction site, you may find him volunteering his time with local organizations, out on the water, or around town with his wife, Anna, and two daughters Ava and Abigail. Mark and his family live in Bluffton

Hudson Williams - Operations Manager

Born and raised a Jersey girl, Hudson found her way to South Carolina via Vermont. With over 15 years of experience building custom homes with her family business, she brings a broad knowledge of every aspect of building. Hudson graduated Fairfield University with a dual bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Biology. She manages the Design Build process and is often the first point of contact with the clients, providing assistance to our architect and client to ensure that the project is designed to meet the client's needs and desires. Hudson also assists the selection process to make sure all the elements of the build are cohesive and match the client's style and budget. Her involvement with every aspect insures clients feel at ease during the entire build.

Hudson enjoys spending her spare time with her husband Ben, at the beach or traveling.

Coleman Bell - Field Manager

Coleman was originally licensed as a general contractor in the state of South Carolina in 1975 and has been working construction in the Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island area for over 50 years. As a young man, Coleman was one of the best framers and carpenters in the Lowcountry in South Carolina. Soon after he received his general contractor licensed, he hired a young framer by the name of Mark Kendrick to do most of his framing, the rest is history.

Coleman is married to his wife of over 20 years, Terri, and they share six children and 14 grandchildren together. In his spare time Coleman enjoys working on projects around his house as well as fishing the May River, Colleton River, and other local waterways with his family. When asked to describe his career, he simply says "it's been a lot of fun."

Mike Flategraff – Field Manager

Born in Minnesota, with extreme work ethics , Mike fled south to enjoy our amazing warm climate. He is vastly skilled in project management methodologies and tools, with 26 years in the construction field. A strategic thinker and problem solver, with a track record of successful project delivery, Mike has a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to quality and excellence. A strong communicator with a proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively, his team leading skills are a great asset to Kendrick Construction. Always smiling & seeking the positive outlook, our team wouldn’t be complete without Mike!

In Mike’s spare time he loves enjoying outdoor activities & sports with his beautiful wife Nancy, daughter Michaela & son Liam. Coaching youth football and volunteering in the Cub Scouts keeps Mike busy. (Don’t ask him to cheerlead though… he leaves that to his wife & daughter!)

Kris Stevely – Office Manager

Dreams do come true! Originally from the small town of Mexico Missouri, Kris and her husband Bryan dreamt of living in the Low Country! After spending 20 years in Ohio, the happy move came in 2018! With over 30+ years business experience in auto manufacturing and real estate, coupled with a variety of other career experiences, Kris has a vast array of business knowledge in all dynamics.

Kris & Bryan are the proud parents of 4 sons and grandparents to 8 beautiful grandchildren.

When not in the office, they love to spend free time enjoying the sunshine and outdoors, complete with golf & walking the beaches of the Low Country!

Rachael Olson – Selections Coordinator

A true southern gal, Rachael grew up in Acworth, GA and relocated to the Low Country 15 years ago. She attended college at The University of Oklahoma where she played on the tennis team and earned her undergraduate and master’s degree in Human Resources. She is experienced in new home construction and has owned a custom furniture and interior finishes company. She has a talent for home finishes and finds joy and accomplishment in helping clients create their dream home.

Rachael and husband, Erik, have three young boys. In Rachael’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends while enjoying the beautiful Low Country!
